1940s Deadstock Slip
A slinky and sexy 1940s bias slip, unworn until now, with the remains of its original tag. Originally intended as nightwear, it works beautifully worn as a dress today. It feels like a rayon blend in a lovely icy pale grey blue shade. It features lace trim at the straps and neckline, shaped cups, and a delicate floral embroidery detail.
Condition: Very good. Whilst this slip presents beautifully overall, a closer look reveals a few small flaws.
- It was stored in an attic, exposed to the elements in an open box, and has suffered some moth damage to the skirt.
- There is also very faint evidence of staining, possibly from something being placed on top of it. I have steamed and spot cleaned this as much as possible, but the mark is still very, VERY faintly visible.
