Originally intended to be worn by a priest, this cotton surplice makes a great blouse! It is made by Thomas Pratt & Sons of Covent Garden, who were known especially as clerical tailors and robe makers, although they had a supporting business as general church furnishers. This has been very difficult to date, but most likely dates from around the late 1940s or early 1950s. It features a square neckline, a billowing body and lovely flared sleeves.
