A 1960s Tang style jacket, originally worn as loungewear or an evening hostess coat for casual gatherings. Tang style jackets like this were produced in specialist textile centres, made either to be brought home by Western tourists or as an export piece. Jacquard brocade, woven with metallic thread in a chrysanthemum floral design. Frog knot closures, with snap fasteners down the front placket. Lined, with an original size label at the neck.
Condition: Good
- Light wear to the fabric throughout
- A pinhead sized rust mark on the back shoulder
- The frog closure at the right hand side of the side slit is missing one half, with some rust staining in this area
