These cotton shorts are a perfect example of flattering 1950s tailoring. Designed to emphasise an hourglass shape, they feature a nipped-in waist with a wide waistband, pintucking at the hips to create shape, and full short legs with turn-ups.

They are made from medium-weight white cotton and fasten at the side with a metal zip and button closure. The turn-ups are not stitched down and will need pressing flat. The label is frayed with age, but can still be seen at the waistband.

Condition: Excellent

• A two faint marks at the waist that have refused to budge, despite copious treatment... Luckily they are faint.
