1900s Edwardian Cotton Frilled Nightshirt
1900s Edwardian Cotton Frilled Nightshirt
Doen who?! A wonderful Edwardian nightshirt with all the frills and detail you’d hope for. It has a boxy fit with a four-button front, finished with a frilled collar and cuffs. The blouse is open from just above the belly button, with the buttons ending about 9.5" from the hem. Fine pintucks and delicate embroidered details run throughout the body, with the buttons concealed beneath a frilled placket. The original owner’s initials are embroidered on the right bust.
Despite its age, it remains incredibly wearable and is a beautiful example of early 20th-century nightwear that works just as well styled as a blouse today.
Condition: Excellent for its age. Some light wear to the cotton.
