An original 1940s silk brocade Tang style jacket, most likely bought as a souvenir. Lined in silk, with shoulder pads and frog closures at the front, alongside curving pockets. The shape is full and flowy, with a gathered back yoke.
A real 1960s fur collar has been sewn onto the neck by myself. The collar can be closed with a hook and eye at the ends. The colour of the jacket is best represented in the hanger photos. The sunlight washed it out in the first five photos!
Condition: Good
Presents well overall, but there are some aesthetic flaws to the silk. Please note there are two large examples of colour run and staining to the jacket that did not shift with treatment. This has left two large reddish pink marks on the silk, one at the back of the shoulder and one at the front. Please study the photos to see these areas.
The silk lining at the neck has been mended where it has frayed with patching.
