1940s Hand Embroidered Cotton Bed Jacket

This is the most darling make-do-and-mend 1940s bed jacket. Crafted with care and creativity from soft, felted cotton, it features an open-front design that fastens with a simple button and loop. Delicate embroidered floral motifs bloom around the neckline, cuffs, and shoulders in pops of pink, blue, and green, complemented by a hand-stitched pink and blue hem. The gently peaked shoulders add that classic 1940s silhouette.

Condition: Very good. There are a few faint stains and marks, as shown in the photos 8-13. These have been treated but have not lifted with washing. There is also one loose stitch to a ribbon hole at the back of the neck (photo 11). All flaws are subtle and do not detract from the overall beauty or wearability of the piece.
