Early 1900s nightdress in ultra-fine, feather-light sheer cotton. Long, loose silhouette with a square neckline and flutter sleeves. Greek-inspired spiral embroidery at the neckline, with delicate mesh panels at the sleeves. Versatile — can be worn over swimwear, layered, or on its own.
Condition: Fair/wounded. Priced accordingly.
- The dress has been repaired by several hands over many years, ranging from finely executed mends to more amateur repairs, including a large modern iron-on patch at the back (left in place to avoid further stress on the delicate cotton).
- Multiple scattered moth holes throughout.
- Damage should not worsen with careful wear and handling, though affected areas are weaker than the surrounding cotton.
