Early 1900s nightdress in ultra-fine, feather-light sheer cotton. Long, loose silhouette with a square neckline and flutter sleeves. Greek-inspired spiral embroidery at the neckline, with delicate mesh panels at the sleeves. Versatile — can be worn over swimwear, layered, or on its own.
Condition: Fair/wounded. Priced accordingly.
The dress has been repaired by several hands over many years, ranging from finely executed mends to more amateur repairs, including a large modern iron-on patch at the back (left in place to avoid further stress on the delicate cotton).
Multiple scattered moth holes throughout.
Damage should not worsen with careful wear and handling, though affected areas are weaker than the surrounding cotton.
