1930s Pink Silk Bed Jacket

I absolutely adore this special and very unusual little piece! Crafted from rich pink silk, this short-sleeved bed jacket or lounging blouse dates from the 1930s. Beautifully handmade by a skilled seamstress, it exudes suuuuch a luxurious feel.

It features capped sleeves with sheer lace insert panels, which extend over the shoulders for a delicate touch. The lace itself is intricately detailed, showcasing a floral design with skillful embroidery. The jacket has a V-neckline, a soft, loose silhouette, and fastens at the bust with two tiny gold snap closures.

Condition: Very good. The clasps at the front have been re-stitched by a previous owner, with visible hand stitching (photo 9). There is a small break in the lace on the right shoulder and a tiny, pinhead-sized mark on the left side of the bust.
