1920s Upcycled Lilac Cotton Chemise Slip

A beautifully upcycled vintage drop-waist slip, crafted from soft cotton in a classic 1920s design. This piece perfectly captures the era’s love of straight, A-line silhouettes, featuring a pleated low waist and hips, along with a square neckline. Delicate beige lace trim, embroidered with purple flowers, adorns the neckline and hem, while the cotton has been dyed a lovely lilac-blue hue. To accommodate a fuller bust, contrasting floral side panels have been added, complemented by a charming embroidered motif at the bust.

PLEASE NOTE: This piece has been hand-dyed by a previous owner. As I am unsure whether it has been treated with a colour fixative, there may still be a risk of colour run. For best care, hand wash in cold water and avoid washing with light fabrics to prevent any potential colour transfer.

Condition: Generally in good condition, with some light wear to the cotton consistent with age. As this piece has been dyed to cover staining, there is some inconsistency in how the cotton has absorbed the colour. Please note that there is visible mottling/ombre effect in areas of the fabric.
