1930s 1940s Black Gleaming Woven Gown with Puffed Sleeves and Belt
Make a statement on date night! A darling late 1930s or early 1940s evening dress, cut from gleaming black satin-feel fabric. This has all the hallmarks of the late 1930s ballgown, leading the way into a new era of 1940s evening wear, with a fuller skirt than earlier 1930s styles, puffy short sleeves, and a high waist.
It is shiny and woven, with a slip to it. The neckline is sweetheart-shaped, with puffed, shoulder-padded sleeves with ruffle detailing at each 'top'. The waist is set somewhat high, and the skirt falls into full gathers. It has a great weight to it, has been made very well, and is unlined. Comes with a matching belt with diamanté clasp.
Condition: There is some wear to the waist seam, as well as some damage to the right-hand ruffle detail.

S | Waist 26"- 27"
M | Waist 28"- 30"
L | Waist 31"- 32"
