1960s 1970s Mohair Red Knit Boatneck Sweater

A lovely light knit, woven in Milan from super-soft mohair yarn. This piece comes from Tutto Maglia, an Italian knitwear factory that has been producing its own lines since the 1950s, as well as creating pieces for many well-known brands. From my research, this dates to the late 1960s or early 1970s.

It has a relaxed, loose fit with a wide neckline, two pockets at the hem, and contrasting knit detail on the sleeves. The colour is just gorgeous—a deep red with beige flecking throughout.

Condition: Excellent. Some light fraying and bobbling at the hem in places but nothing major.
