1950s 'California Cottons' Floral Sundress Set
I'm always so happy to source a piece from California Cottons! Designed in California but made in Britain in the 50s and 60s, this label is renowned for its fabulous prints and shapes, especially in sundresses. This dress set is a perfect example, featuring a strapless sundress with a full, pleated skirt and an ultra-cropped bolero jacket.
Made from soft, lightweight cotton, the dress boasts a sweetheart neckline, nipped waist, and a very full skirt with a built-in petticoat for added shape. It secures at the back with a metal zip. The matching bolero is ultra-cropped with cap sleeves and a covered button front. Overall, this is a fabulous two-piece set that is bound to turn heads!
Condition: The dress is in excellent condition. There is a very faint stain to the bust in pic 13. Some very tiny rust stains to the left hip (pic 14). Some fraying here and there as seen in (pic 15). The bolero is in excellent condition with only some very very light discolouration to the covered buttons.

Sizing Guide
Sizing Guide
Vintage clothing is often homemade and/or follows a very different size guide to modern-day clothing. Please ensure you check the measurements carefully on the product description before making your order. We use a rough sizing guide based on waist sizing:
XS | Waist 22"- 25"
S | Waist 26"- 27"
M | Waist 28"- 30"
L | Waist 31"- 32"
XL | Waist 33"- plus
Please do not take the size guide as gospel as the size stated here may not be the size you would normally buy. It is very important to know your bust, waist and hip sizing ahead of purchase.
