1910s Cotton Petticoat Underskirt with Filet Lacework
Another lovely Edwardian petticoat made from thinner, softer cotton and in a midi length. It features an 11.5-inch panel at the hem, comprising bands of filet lace detailing in a diagonal pattern. Above this panel are two horizontal pintucks and a deep pleat. The petticoat has clearly been worked on over the years, as there are remnants of old elastic running through the waistband. Two modern poppers have been added to the waist for closure. Like most petticoats of the era, there is a deep opening at the back that will show; however, this could be altered to close the opening if preferred.
Condition: Very good. General signs of wear, including some areas of fabric weakness shown in pics 7 & 8. Some missing threads to the waistband shown in pic 9. The last two photos show the wear to the closure including some weakness running alongside the opening, a small mend on the waistband
Shown pinned to fit on an approx UK size 6 mannequin (B:34"/W:25"/H:34”)

S | Waist 26"- 27"
M | Waist 28"- 30"
L | Waist 31"- 32"
