1910s Cotton Petticoat Underskirt with Frill
A wonderful example of an Edwardian petticoat! This charming piece is crafted from starched, lightweight cotton and features a delightful 10-inch frill of intricate floral broderie anglaise at the hem. It retains many of its original details, including four rows of hand-stitching on the waistband, the original darts and the owner’s initials embroidered in red inside the waist opening.
It also features a handmade buttonhole and its original linen-covered metal button. The skirt is double-lined at the hem, giving it a lovely weight and fullness. Like most petticoats of the era, there is a deep opening at the back that will show, however, this could be altered to close the opening if preferred.
Condition: Excellent. A few very small storage stains - a rust stain at the front by the right mid thigh. A scattering of teeny tiny ones at the far left thigh at the front. Some pin head size at the back hem.

S | Waist 26"- 27"
M | Waist 28"- 30"
L | Waist 31"- 32"
