1940s Striped Pure Cotton Nurse's Dress
A lightweight cotton striped 1940s nurse’s uniform dress, most likely deadstock and unworn. It would originally have been worn with an apron, detachable collar and cuffs, and a nurse’s cap. The dress has a button-through front to the waist with an overlapping bib-style fastening. The sleeves taper to fitted cuffs, while the skirt features a single patch pocket and a tiered hem. A really special piece and beautifully tailored.
