Original Edwardian step-in dating from the 1910s–1920s, made from fine, lightweight cotton. This semi sheer, softly structured piece features classic bloomer style legs and a button down back, with a rounded neckline threaded with ribbon. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDelicate butterfly motifs are repeated on the legs, and sheer lace trims the bust, sleeves, and cuffs, with ribbon laced through the cuffs for added detail. The crotch is open to around mid-thigh, as typical of the period.  Sheer lace trim finishes the bust and sleeves and is echoed again at the cuffs, where ribbon is also laced through. This lovely piece comes from \u003cem\u003eCripps Sons \u0026amp; Co\u003c\/em\u003e, a well-respected outfitter in Liverpool operating from the late 1800s through to the 1970s. Made from stitched hide pieces, it has a boxy silhouette, a real fur collar, and two large feature buttons at the waist. It fastens at the neck with a hook and eye and is fully lined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition:\u003c\/strong\u003e In excellent condition considering its age. The fur has been well looked after and remains stiff, retaining its shape nicely. There are some signs of wear and rubbing in areas such as the elbows, seams and around the buttons. There is also a small mend under the collar where the hook and eye are attached. They are very collectable and are getting harder and harder to find. This example likely dates from the 1970s and is beautifully cut, with a beige and brown leopard print outer. It features a sharp collar, a button-down front and a belt to cinch the waist. A high quality and fabulous trench!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition:\u003c\/strong\u003e This gal has a few small flaws but still presents beautifully, and has been priced gently to reflect this. She has been loved and mended over time, mainly along the inside seam on the left-hand side, as well as with some small repairs to the outer pockets.
